Kanyen\u2019keha:ka (Mohawk) meaning \u201cthe People of the Flint\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Both territories are covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee to peaceably take care of the land and resources around the Great Lakes.
