COVID-19 Information Hub

How the Government of Ontario most recent restrictions, which went into effect on January 5, 2022, impact Woodbine Entertainment.

Due to these restrictions, which are in place for at least 21 days (January 26, 2022) amenities and experiences are currently limited. Please see below for information on Woodbine Entertainment’s facilities and offerings.

Live Racing to Continue

Under the new government restrictions, we are permitted to operate live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park which continues through the winter on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with a 7:00 p.m. post time.

What is mandated to close by the province of Ontario

  • The Woodbine and Woodbine Mohawk Park Grandstands, which includes all restaurants and simulcast wagering areas.
  • The outdoor area at Woodbine Mohawk Park will also be closed to the general public and reserved for owners and trainers.
  • Casino Woodbine and Elements Casino Mohawk.

Quick Cash Stop Services are available at Woodbine and Woodbine Mohawk Park

Although the Woodbine and Woodbine Mohawk Park grandstands are closed, we are operating Quick Cash Stops.

Proof of Vaccination needed for Racing Guests

Please be advised that as of Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the Government of Ontario’s Vaccine Certificate System requires all guests 12 years and older to provide proof of full vaccination to enter horse racing venues and casinos, amongst other settings. This includes Woodbine Racetrack and Casino Woodbine, Woodbine Mohawk Park and Elements Casino Mohawk, WEGZ Stadium Bar and Greenwood Teletheatre.

Please note that proof of vaccination is required for all areas, including outdoor areas.

Guests aged 12-16 years of age do not need to provide photo ID but must provide valid government issued ID (ie. Birth Certificate) along with their proof of vaccination.

Vaccine receipts from the jurisdiction an individual was vaccinated in will be accepted. For individuals who were vaccinated outside of Canada, only vaccinations approved by Health Canada will be accepted (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen Johnson & Johnson).

Medical exemptions will be the only exemption accommodated. For medical exemptions, the original and official doctor’s note will be required to provide proof.

As per the Government of Ontario’s Vaccine Certificate System, providing proof of a recent negative test will not be accepted.

Woodbine Entertainment’s Guide to Working and Safely

Woodbine Entertainment have spent a significant amount of resources developing and implementing many physical distancing protocols and operating procedures to ensure everyone’s safety.

Racing – Woodbine Racetrack

Woodbine Racetrack will only be operating as a Quick Cash Stop to buy programs and place bets. The grandstand will otherwise be closed to the public until further notice. Click here to learn more.

Quick Cash Stops feature self-serve tote terminals for deposits, withdrawals, voucher redemption and advance betting. Open 7 days per week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Racing – Mohawk Park
