July 4, 2017

TORONTO, July 4 – On Sunday, Woodbine Oaks champ Holy Helena captured the imagination of racing fans worldwide with an impressive turn of foot to beat the boys in the 158th running of The Queen’s Plate.

Woodbine track photographer Mike Burns, a multiple Sovereign Award winner, captured all the drama of a racing day that included Green Mask’s scinitillating score in the Breeders’ Cup Win & You’re In Highlander Stakes; Go Bro’s awesome upset of the King Edward; Aldous Snow notching his third Singspiel; a dead heat for the win in the Dance Smartly; and, of course, a remarkable run by Holy Helena to win the Plate.
Let’s take a look at all the incredible racing moments of a memorable Queen’s Plate card at Woodbine
