The 160th running of the Queen’s Plate set for June 29

TORONTO, November 29, 2018 – Woodbine Entertainment announced today that the 160th running of the $1 million Queen’s Plate, first jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.

North America’s oldest continuously-run stakes event showcasing Canada’s top three-year-old Thoroughbreds is the highlight of Woodbine’s Queen’s Plate Festival.

Annually one of Toronto’s must-attend events of the summer, the 2019 Queen’s Plate Racing Festival will begin on Friday, June 28 and run through Saturday, June 29. The fashion-forward festival will feature world-class horse racing, live entertainment and delicious dining experiences.

Queen’s Plate Festival tickets can be purchased beginning December 6, 2018 on Fans are encouraged to buy tickets early to secure the best seats before they sell out and lock in the best prices of the year, with reserved grandstand seating starting at just $40 (for a limited time).
