The fiery-voiced breakthrough songstress LU KALA will be performing at our Hats & Horseshoes party this year!

With almost 100 million streams on Spotify, LU KALA is a force, redefining what a pop star sounds and looks like. LU’s hit songs include “Lottery” with Latto, Pretty Girl Era, and Hotter Now, with a few of her tracks landing in the top 20 of Canadian and American pop music charts.

At the age of 3, LU KALA’s family immigrated from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Canada, first living in Toronto’s Regent Park and later Ajax.

Gifted with a talent for writing striking pop tracks and memorable hooks, LU KALA has also written tracks for other artists, including R&B star Jennifer Hudson.
