Your main responsibilities will be to connect with guests, taking guest orders via the telephone, preparing orders, setting up trays and delivering items to guest rooms in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner and picking up plate ware from outside of the guest rooms. Providing professional and excellent quality service as per the Hotel Room Service Standard operating procedure will be key to success.
In addition to possessing a Smart Serve Certification, our ideal candidate is going to have a strong passion to wow our guests, great communication skills, a friendly and outgoing attitude, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to maximize their potential.
Experience required:
2 years' service experience in a Premium Casual / Fine dining Restaurant or 3-4 Star Hotel Restaurant.
Familiar with a full-service Bar, previous experience selling wine is an asset
Previous wine knowledge and a full understanding of pairing wine is an asset.
Good understanding of beverage cocktails
Previous food preparation / table side service and asset.
Working knowledge of electronic POS system
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, pushing room service carts & walk long distances with the use of elevators
Flexibility to work varied shifts (day, evening, nights, weekend shifts)
Obtain Smartserve certification prior to start date
