Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Content Editor to join our growing content team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing video content that showcases the energy and excitement of thoroughbred and standardbred racing while also engaging our community across social media platforms. This role requires someone who can create dynamic, personality-driven content—from Instagram Reels and TikToks to YouTube videos—while also supporting the overall content strategy and marketing efforts. You will work closely with the Manager of Video Content Production to ensure that your video content aligns with the brand's messaging and drives community engagement. You will be responsible for all aspects of video content creation, from ideation and filming to editing and optimization. of everything we do.
Key Accountabilities
-Participate in the development of creative, personality-driven video content tailored for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others.
-Be in front of the camera, using your personality to engage directly with our audience and create authentic, relatable video content that reflects our brand’s voice.
-Work collaboratively with the content team to create engaging and shareable video content that reflects current trends and highlights the excitement of horseracing.
-Develop and execute social-first video campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader marketing strategies and brand objectives. Support video campaigns, collaborating with internal teams and external partners when needed.
-Execute all aspects of video production, including on-location shooting, lighting, and editing to ensure high-quality content across all deliverables. Capture key moments at live events, producing behind-the-scenes and real-time social media content that showcases the brand’s personality.
SKILLS
Operate and maintain professional video equipment, including Sony cinema cameras (FX3, FX6), ensuring high-quality footage for all video content.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in video editing using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.), applying best practices to create polished and engaging videos.
Utilize lighting and camera techniques to capture dynamic shots that enhance the storytelling and energy of the brand.
Optimize video content for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) by adjusting format, resolution, and pacing to meet specific platform requirements and trends.
Troubleshoot technical issues on set, ensuring smooth production and minimizing disruptions during live events or shoots.
Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies to ensure video production is always innovative and of the highest quality.
2+ years of experience working in social media content creation, video production, or a similar role within a fast-paced, creative environment.
Proven experience creating content for major social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and others.
Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and best practices for video
