Position Overview

To provide audit assistance to the Director – Internal Audit in fulfilling the Internal Audit mandate. Mandate is to support WEG leaders to achieve their goals by providing independent, objective and value-added assurance/audit services that focus on improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, regulatory compliance and governance processes as they relate to promoting ethics and ensuring effective performance management and accountability.

Responsibility

  • Execution of assigned audits as defined in the annual audit plan ensuring the highest level of audit standard and service quality.
  • Assess and report on effectiveness of management established controls in audit areas.
  • Develop/update system/process documentation including management controls for risk mitigation in assigned areas.
  • Digitize and streamline working papers to improve audit efficiency.
  • Provide direct assistance to external auditors in their yearly financial statements audit.

Experience/Qualifications

  • One or more years of general accounting /auditing experience.
  • Experience in extracting and performing analytical work on data from various applications.
  • Bachelor degree in accounting/auditing/business system.

Knowledge, Skills & Technical Abilities

  • Experience in working with D365 financial reporting system (Preferred).
  • Proficiency in excel, visio & word and ability to learn other new applications.
  • Tenacious and ethical.
  • Effective communications (Verbal & Written) and human relations skills.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and time management skills.
