Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Systems Support the Systems Operations Specialist works primarily independently to provide Tier 2 support.  This involves ensuring that daily operations of systems and networks are online and functioning as expected. Supporting various enterprise applications will be required. Attending support meetings that require support with vendors and managing medium to large project work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·   Perform daily checks on systems and networks using network/server monitoring tools such as SolarWinds. Daily checks with reporting will need to be recorded.
·  Support of Operating Systems that host critical applications will include configuration, maintenance, and modification of all WEG physical server and storage hardware.
·  Support Application platforms that exist off premises in Private / Public Cloud environments at the SAAS, IAAS and PAAS levels.
· Tier 2Support of Hybrid PBX / VOIP Telecom Infrastructure and enterprise components.
·  Manage vendor partner relationships with respect to licensing compliance and maintenance agreements
·  Support and transition data operating platforms from physical hosts to virtual and remote hosting environments.
·  Support on prem virtual infrastructure env using VMware
·  Support on prem and remote networks using Cisco platform and Cisco Meraki Cloud.
·  Support Office 365 – applications such as Teams, SharePoint, filesharing, new user accounts and ADFS.
·  Support Active Directory on prem infrastructure
·  Engage in project team approach on select implementations
·  Lead by example, to exhibit, encourage and motivate WEG’s Values and Beliefs
·  Support daily System and Network Backups using Veeam.
·   Manage small projects, having good experience in change management and sending out companywide emails.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Knowledge
·   General understanding of IT Network policies and procedures
·   General knowledge of IT Application Hosting Infrastructures such as VMware, working with Dell, IBM, HPE Servers
·  Exposure to Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery best practices
·  General understanding of Change Management and customer service follow ups
 
Skills
·   Exposure to Active Directory Services in a multi-level corporate environment, including Directory rights management, replication,
·   Medium to Expert knowledge of Telecom VOIP communication principles
·   Familiar with PowerShell command set and scripting
·   Experience / exposure to Microsoft Azure connectivity, authentication, administration, and management of IAAS and PAAS implementations.
·   Supporting / troubleshooting issues with applications within Office365 Enterprise subscription Plans including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Skype for Business, Yammer, Teams, SharePoint Online, Delve, StaffHub, etc.
·   Administering virtual platforms in VMWare and physical servers.
·  Managing and maintaining system data backup / recovery using Veeam
·  Experience with Hyperconverged computing hardware environments such as Dell VxRail
·  Experience with managing Microsoft Azure environments.
·  Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management
·  Experience with Networking gear such as Cisco, Dell and Cisco Meraki.
·  Experience with Troubleshooting and installing Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Points
·  Experience with VMware VDI Horizon platform
·  Experience with Server / Networking monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or New Relic
·  Experience with installing and managing UPS systems
·  Experience with Microsoft DFS Services, managing and supporting company file shares
·  Experience with Enterprise Storage systems, managing and troubleshooting
 
Education & Experience
·  Minimum of 10 years of related IT experience
·  Degree in Computer Science
·  IT Certifications an asset
 
Working Conditions
·   Weekdays with some weekends and on-call support
·   Some local travel may be required
