Woodbine Entertainment Group is seeking an experienced, highly motivated partnerships sales professional with proven successes, a positive attitude, strong work ethic and consultative approach to take on a partnership sales role. Reporting to the Head of Revenue & Business Development he/she will be responsible for new revenue generation using the full range of WEG’s inventory to find, identify, develop and close new opportunities.

What you'll do:

- Find and develop new partnership accounts from the ground level to generate revenue and achieve individual and team-wide goals 
- Develop relationships, both in the marketplace and internal
- Create new assets and re-purpose existing WEG initiatives to drive new revenue
- Create client/prospect research, proposal writing and proposal presentations
- Have proven negotiation skills to effectively manage objections and work to deliver mutually beneficial solutions, maintain value and close to contract
- Inclusion in on-boarding of new clients to effectively ensure Woodbine is set up to not only deliver on partnership assets but work to transition knowledge from discovery stage to ensure Account Management team is set up to over deliver
-work collaboratively within and outside the department with a team approach to achieve best results
- Work in concert with Account Managers and other internal resources to ensure contract fulfillment
Network, research, best practices, understand the competition, etc
- Perform other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned
 


What are we looking for:

  • University or college degree, Sports Management, Marketing or Business related field is an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years of sports sales experience and an established history of closing partnership deals 
  • Must have an understanding of how use of market research and analytics tools to help identify trends, opportunities and prospects
  • Must be able to create and analyze reports to highlight trends, fulfill assets and identify growth opportunities
  • Must understand the sports sponsorship industry, how to create and value assets and present, negotiate and close a deal
  • Demonstrate ability and experience in developing sales collateral via graphic design or PPT 
  • Ability to think creatively as it pertains to developing marketing and activation campaigns
