Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, the Graphic Designer will create designs for Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG), supporting various lines of business within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptual design for marketing campaigns in Greater Toronto Area, Canada-wide, and international promotions.

  • Motion graphics for animated assets for major event campaigns throughout the year as well as hospitality collaboration with the casino.

  • Produce graphic projects (posters, brochures, corporate documents, web material) for different business lines (hospitality, branding, wagering and customer experience).

  • Participate constructively in team meetings, working sessions, and problem-solving tasks.

  • Verify content & specs for all project briefs assigned (as well as peers) by using project management software - Smartsheet.

  • Be a team player who is willing to assist other designers with projects as required.

  • Create and evolve WEG brand at both locations in Toronto and Milton.

  • HTML, CSS and Content Manager experience an asset.

  • Contribute to creative concepts for digital assets (eblasts, animated GIFs, digital ads, social media content creative, etc.) daily.

  • Adapt signage (digital and billboard) for the major event campaigns and corporate functions.

  • Work in close collaboration with the creative and events team.


WHO YOU ARE?

  • 5–7 years experience in a graphic design role; degree or diploma in graphic design from a recognized institution

  • Strong adaptability, quick learning, and ability to apply style guides creatively.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere); proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

  • Motion Graphics and animation skills using after affects and premiere.

  • Knowledge of social media, digital content, and working in a Mac environment.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent conceptual skills, with a strong sense of design, layout, and typography.

  • Strong communication skills, autonomy, and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Horse racing community experience is an asset

  • Strong English Language skills; French Language skills an asset

  • Expert knowledge of the graphic production process

  • RGD registration an asset
