What we need from you:
To be a passionate and engaging leader who will live and breathe our values and beliefs and take a surgical approach throughout our various property development initiatives. We will need you to be a development planning and design champion  who will listen and connect with our stakeholders and aspire to  ‘wow every guest’.  With guest experience always at the forefront, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of all development projects through the project lifecycle including planning, design and construction to help meet our strategic imperatives and launch a new breed of experience at Woodbine.
What your day to day will look like:
Relationship builder.  Construction Planning and Design. These imperative functions will define your days. You will be the operational lead for all engineering functions of the department and lead engineering aspects of Woodbine’s Transport Demand management strategy for the development lands. You will also develop and implement policies and procedure standards for the department and monitor and reconcile capital budgets. As Woodbine’s technical development representative, you will also be required to maintain relationships with municipalities, agencies and other relevant stakeholders. Additionally, we will need you to work with the team on strategic and financial planning and creating risk mitigation strategies for all development projects to achieve critical milestones.   
Key Factors for your success:
We will need you to embody each of our values and beliefs, be passionate about our business and journey and have a relentless desire to provide a winning experience to all our stakeholders and guests.  A university degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 8 to 12 years of direct experience in the civil and infrastructure sectors are critical for success as well as possessing the P.Eng. designation.
We will need you to be well-versed in project management principles and have experience managing the design and construction phases of development projects. We will also need you to be proficient in Microsoft Project and Auto Desk software products (i.e. AutoCAD 2D &3D Revit) and have a sound understanding on contract law, scheduling techniques, budget development and risk management.  We are looking for someone who loves what they do and is super excited about working on one of the coolest and compelling developments in the country!
