What we need from you

Woodbine Entertainment is growing and we are currently looking for a Race Office Clerk that is customer-focused and committed to providing winning experiences!
 
This position is extremely important to Woodbine’s success. By working together with your team members, you will strive to exceed your client groups' expectations each and every time and most importantly, have fun while doing so.
 
Your main responsibilities will be to take horse entries for the race card, which includes confirming race information, ensuring eligibility, applying applicable Ontario Racing Commission regulations and communicating with owners and trainers. This position is also responsible for the accurate and efficient organization and filing of official foal papers. Maintaining a professional relationship with internal departments including Printing, Customer Services, Marketing and Media, and external clients such as trainers, owners the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Equibase, jockeys, and agents are also important for success.

What we are looking for:

  • Secondary school diploma
  • 1-2 years of administration experience
  • Strong data entry skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office programs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the horse racing industry is strong asset
