What we need from you:
To be a passionate and engaging leader who will live and breathe our values and beliefs and take a surgical approach across our Hospitality initiatives at Woodbine Mohawk Park. With guest experience always at the forefront, we will need you to drive change and empower results. We will also need you to develop and deliver innovative and effective solutions to meet our strategic imperatives, launch a new breed of experience and further cement our place as an entertainment powerhouse!
What your day to day will look like:
Brand Ambassador. Relationship builder. Guest Experience champion. Business leader. These imperative functions will define your days. You will lead and develop an effective Hospitality team that always strives to provide winning experiences as well as provide mentorship and direction to Managers in our various operating departments (Racing, Gaming, Culinary, Warehouse and Administration). We will also need you to engage in strategic business and financial analysis planning, policy/procedure development and decision making to achieve the vision, mandate and strategic goals of the overall Woodbine Hospitality program. Consistently looking for new ways to increase overall profitability, collaborating with departments and promoting sound business and accountability practices across the team will also be important for success.
Key Factors for your success:
We will need you to embody each of our values and beliefs, be passionate about our business and journey and have a relentless desire to provide a winning experience to all our stakeholders and guests. A post-secondary education in Hospitality / Food & Beverage or related field with 7 to 10 years of Food & Beverage Management experience are important for success. We will need you to be well-versed in F&B management strategies, government legislation and regulations, budget planning, and financial monitoring. The thrill of our horse-racing as well as our food and beverage offerings really come to life on evenings and weekends (Friday & Saturday) so your leadership will be essential during these times. We are looking for someone who loves what they do and is super excited about working for one of the coolest and compelling entertainment destinations in the Greater Toronto Area!
