The Corporate Partnerships Team is responsible for generating creative marketing partnerships and revenue opportunities for Woodbine Racetrack, Woodbine Mohawk Park Racetrack and other subsidiary Woodbine Entertainment properties. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, Groups and Events, the candidate is responsible for implementing servicing, renewing, upgrading Woodbine’s corporate entertainment partners.

This position is ideal for an individual who has a specific interest in marketing, sports, and connecting brands to customers/events. 

What you'll do:

- Manage a portfolio of medium-to-large sized partners
- Work collaboratively with all relevant Woodbine departments to implement and fulfill partner obligations and ensure deliverables are met against partner agreements
- Ensure that a record of all contractual benefit terms is captured in the partner database and communicated to other departments throughout Woodbine
- Become an expert in your partner’s corporate objectives, brand, and industry as well as all Woodbine properties
- Ability to conceptualize, develop, and present programs that will help partners achieve their objectives by leveraging Woodbine Entertainment assets
- Work within a team environment supporting colleagues on various programs and department initiatives
- produce post event and post-race season recap documents to be presented to key stakeholders  
- Create compelling client presentations and contact/lead lists
- Prepare sales proposals ideally looking to grow skill set to learn partnership sales
- Work closely with sales team to ensure smooth transition in the handover of new partners
- Track, report and contribute to expense/revenue budget management


What are we looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years of sponsorship, partnership marketing or relevant relationship management experience
  • Related post-secondary education
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional PowerPoint – deck building skills
  • Confidence and persuasiveness in presenting and up-selling to existing partners
  • Self-motivated; works independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Provide direction and support in effectively delegating tasks to volunteers, Interns and Seasonal staff where appropriate
  • Negotiating skills and ability to diplomatically work with multiple stakeholders
  • Imaginative and Innovative problem solver
  • Experience with CRM and photoshop skills considered an asset
  • Adaptable to a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
