We are currently on an amazing 20-year journey to ‘build a city within a city’ and transform the largest privately held land in Toronto into one of Canada’s premiere entertainment destinations. This journey will unlock the value of approximately 700 acres of land, leading to job creation and the revitalization of our communities, while enhancing our ability to share the thrill of horse-racing and cementing our place as an entertainment powerhouse.

We are a small team but an absolute powerhouse when it comes to attracting and securing top talent for our organization. In this role, you will help the team deliver its Talent Acquisition strategy, develop talent pipelines by sourcing out candidates using various channels. We will need you to be an amazing brand ambassador with every interaction, always striving to exceed hiring manager and candidate expectations and showing how Woodbine provides one of the most authentic work experiences around. You will also play an important role in coordinating job fairs that allow us to exceed challenging, high-volume recruitment targets as well as partner with post-secondary institutions to create a talent pipeline for internship and new graduate opportunities.
Structure is also important. We will need you to guide hiring managers on recruitment best practices, assessing candidates and the importance of providing timely feedback so we can deliver the best candidate experience. We take data and reporting very seriously. Updating candidate data in our Applicant tracking and running reports that measure the success of our team and enhances our credibility as a business partner will be a crucial task. Some of the knowledge and skills we are looking for:
- University or college degree/diploma in a field related to Human Resources Management
- 1- 2 years progressive recruitment experience
- General knowledge of full cycle recruitment and selection tactics
- Self-motivated and able to work on projects independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Sense of leadership and willingness to succeed
