Woodbine Entertainment is looking for a creative video and production lead to join a collaborative group of energetic content creators as we usher in the next generation of racing and wagering enthusiasts.
This position would manage all daily video content, editing and storytelling for racing, wagering hospitality and brand content. Provide oversight for the filming, editing and ideation of online video material for social channels, website, wagering platforms and corporate requirements with an eye to driving revenue through digital content.
•Drive corporate business objectives through the creation of compelling video content
•Lead editor and producer for all online video content
•Primary focus on long-lead storytelling and projects that build brand affinity
•Tasked with building and retaining audience through rich media storytelling
•Manage a small team of fulltime and freelance content creators
•Lead the creative process for all media-rich content including storytelling, graphics,
editing and on-site content capture
•Collaborate with other business functions to create innovative and highly-integrated
social programming to further company-wide promotions at on and
off-track events and deliver successful partnership experiences
Key Success Factors
•Post-secondary diploma or degree in broadcasting, video journalism or equivalent work-related experience.
•5-7 years experience working in content production or related field
•General understanding of trends, tone and standard video content delivery on various
social media channels such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
•Broadcast pre-and post-production standards
•Experience in online storytelling including taking projects from ideation to completion
•Experience in people management
•Understanding of the cross-function between video and graphics
•Proficient with computer software applications running on a non-linear edit system.
•Television or online pre-production and post-production.
•Advanced communication and organization skills, combined with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Creative, out-of-the-box thinker
•Thrives in a collaborative environment
•Base-level understanding and experience with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop
