MILTON, November 5, 2019 – The 2019 Breeders Crown brought the very best from around the harness racing World to Woodbine Mohawk Park for a memorable weekend of championship racing. The performances on the track had an international feel with participants, human and equine, from multiple continents capturing Crown glory. Off the track, it was a cozy feel throughout the entire weekend with fun for all-ages. Take a look back at some of the most memorable moments and the scenes from Breeders Crown weekend. A free toque giveaway to the first 1,500 fans welcomed the Breeders Crown back to Canada. (Joe Cantin) You can’t help but smile when ‘Pinball’ walks in! The CFL legend Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons was a participant in the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge. His foundation received $33,831 through the Challenge. (Adrienne Shaw) The best of both worlds! Stella Artois and the Mohawk Harvest Kitchen made the perfect pair at the Breeders Crown Indoor Beer Garden. Their achievement was recognized during a special presentation on Friday night of Crown weekend. Tall Dark Stranger (7) crossed the line second in the Breeders Crown 2-Year-Old Colt Pace, but was placed first after Papi Rob Hanover (3) was DQ’d for interfering with Tall Dark Stranger in the stretch. The 2018 Pepsi North America Cup champion and two-time World Champion was officially retired during Breeders Crown weekend with his shoes removed in the new Winbak Farm Winner’s Circle. Dancin Lou (4) reaches up to win the Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old Colt Pace. (Michael Burns) Australians were made proud by the pair of driver Andrew McCarthy and trainer Tahnee Camilleri. The Australians teamed up to win a Breeders Crown with Dancin Lou, giving McCarthy his fourth of the weekend and Camilleri a win in her Crown debut. (New Image Media) Soaring to victory! French trotting sensation Bold Eagle captures the Breeders Crown Open Trot in his North American debut. American Brian Sears sat behind the winner of over $5 million for trainer Sébastien Guarato.
