Various categories for fan voting and favourite memories from Woodbine personalities are being rolled out each day. The category for Wednesday, January 27 is “Fan Favourite Horse”. Check out a brief bio on each of the finalists below: Musical Rhythm An O’Brien Award winner, track record holder and multiple Preferred winner, Musical Rhythm overcame a serious infection that led to multiple surgeries and a three months stay at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. The 9-year-old trotter is trained by Ben Baillargeon and sports career numbers of 38 wins and $948,768 earned in 108 starts. Nickle Bag A true war horse, Nickle Bag is now 11-years-old and continuing to win Saturday night races at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Nicknamed “Dirt”, Nickle Bag has made all 292 of his career starts at Woodbine or Mohawk, debuting back in 2012. He posted six wins, earned $92,530 and took a mark of 1:49.2 during his 10-year-old season. The Julie Robinson trainee has won 53 races and earned over $1.2 million during his racing career. So Much More An O’Brien Award finalist, standout pacing mare So Much More grabbed headlines throughout 2020 for taking on and defeating her male rivals on multiple occasions in the top-level Preferred. A horse of a lifetime for longtime small-time horsemen Kenn and Don Beatson, So Much More won 12 of 30 starts during her four-year-old season, earning $300,037.
