The three-year-old paced home in 1:53.1. #9 – Betterthancheddar on Thursday, May 19 at Mohawk Racetrack, Race #4 – The Casie Coleman trainee won in a maiden breaking effort with driver Mark MacDonald in the sulky. The son of Bettors Delight took the fourth race by two and a half lengths in a 1:53 clocking. The bay got under the wire in 1:52.3. Driver Randy Waples was at the helm for trainer Bob McIntosh. The son of Rocknroll Hanover won by two lengths in 1:52.2. The bay stopped the clock in 1:50.2 with driver Brett Miller at the helm. #5 – Shadyshark Hanover on Saturday, May 21 at Harrah’s Chester, Race #4 – Tim Tetrick and the Erv Miller conditioned colt won in a gate-to-wire fashion by three and a half lengths. The son of Cams Card Shark stopped the teletimer in 1:51.3. #4 – Prodigal Seelster on Saturday, May 21 at Georgian Downs, Race #5 – Driver Randy Waples and the David Menary pupil held on to win the third Upper Canada Cup elim by a nose in 1:51.1. #3 – Custard The Dragon on Saturday, May 21 at Pocono Downs, Race #10 – The George Teague colt won the $300,000 Max C. Hempt Memorial Pace with driver Montrell Teague in the bike. The brown pacer was pulled from the pocket in the stretch and came on to win by a half a length in 1:50.2. #2 – Drain Daddy on Saturday, May 21 at Georgian Downs, Race #2 – In an off-the-pace victory, the Murray Brethour-trained Drain Daddy captured his elimination of the Upper Canada Cup. Driver Rick Zeron and the three-year-old bay got under the wire in 1:50.4. #1 – Big Jim on Saturday, May 21 at The Meadowlands, Race #10 – The James ‘Friday’ Dean trainee won in the prep for the $400,000 Anthony Abbatiello New Jersey Classic with regular pilot, Phil Hudon in 1:51.4.
