Cup eligible, Roll With Joe beat heavy favourite Betterthancheddar in the final division of the Somebeachsomewhere Stakes. The Edward Hart trainee got under the wire in 1:49.3 winning by three-quarters of a length. The three-year-old son of Cams Card Shark paid $22.90 to win. The pair duelled into the stretch and it was Dreamfair Eternal who came back on to win by a head in 1:51. Cup eligible, Up The Credit romped in his division of the Somebeachsomewhere Stakes. The Carl Jamieson trainee bested the 1-9 favourite, Big Jim. In a 10-1 shocker, the Western Terror colt got under the wire in 1:49, a career-best and stakes record clocking. He paid $23.90 to win.
