MILTON, August 2, 2021 – True Blue Lindy found the wire first in Monday night’s second leg of the Dream Maker Series at Woodbine Mohawk Park. A compact group of six two-year-old pacers took to the track for the final $20,000 preliminary leg of the three-week series. Round one winner Many Moons did not participate this week, opening the door for a new winner. True Blue Lindy lived up to the public’s strong support, leapfrogging to the lead in the second-quarter and pacing away to a 1:54 score for driver Jody Jamieson and trainer Carl Jamieson. The son of Always B Miki got comfortable fractions of :57.3 and 1:27 before scooting home in :27. Nautical Hanover unleashed a wicked final-quarter of :26.3, but ran out of a real estate in a bid to nail the winner at the wire, coming up half a length short. Atlas Hanover finished third, while True Blue Lindy’s Jamieson stablemate Mikalob Ultra crossed the line fourth. A $25,000 Lexington Select Yearling purchase, True Blue Lindy is now two for four with $26,250 earned for owners Carl Jamieson, Bill Loyens and Trevor Edwards. The gelded son of Always B Miki finished second to Many Moons in last week’s first leg. True Blue Lindy returned $2.80 to win. The Dream Maker Series for two-year-old pacers concludes next Monday with an $86,500 final. The entry box for the series finale closes Thursday morning.
