MILTON, September 24, 2021 – Woodbine Mohawk Park proudly participated in National Caretaker Appreciation Day on Thursday evening. Facilitated by Standardbred Canada, National Caretaker Appreciation Day is being celebrated across the country in recognition of the sport’s unsung heroes that work countless hours providing care and support for the equine athletes, keeping them healthy and safe. Woodbine would also like to recognize Joanne Colville and Emma Christoforou for their efforts in organizing Thursday’s festivities at Mohawk Park to celebrate caretakers. A long list of individuals and groups provided sponsorships, gifts and other contributions to this year’s National Caretaker Appreciation Day.
