Champions Off-Track Betting expands to Northern Ontario

TORONTO, August 26, 2014 – Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) today announced the locations and Grand Opening dates for three new Champions Off-Track Betting outlets in northern Ontario.
The additions to the Champions family are Champions Sports Bar in Sudbury, Cheffy’s Last Stop in North Bay and Lucky 7 Bingo in New Liskeard.
All three will host a Grand Opening this Saturday, August 30.
Champions Sports Bar is located at 967 Falconbridge Road in Sudbury, Cheffy’s Last Stop is at 406 Lakeshore Drive in North Bay and Lucky 7 Bingo is at 43 Armstrong Street in New Liskeard.
These facilities will continue to give horse racing fans a chance to watch and wager on live Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing from across the world, in their own neighbourhood.
“It’s exciting to offer the deserving racing fans of northern Ontario – some of the most passionate in the province – all the amenities that the Champions brand offers,” said Tom Papakonstantinou WEG’s General Manager, Ontario Operations, Teletheatres. “With Champions, those customers will now be offered expanded wagering options and tracks and access to Champions-wide HorsePlayer Interactive (HPI) promotions. Each one, Champions Sports Bar, Cheffy’s Last Stop & Lucky 7 Bingo, will provide a convenient and wonderfully friendly venue for the true horse racing fan."
For this weekend’s Grand Openings, fans will be offered free racing programs, great food specials, free giveaways, and a chance at $100 daily instant wins.
