August 2, 2022

Experience the races like never before

Toronto, ON – August 2, 2022 – Woodbine Entertainment is thrilled to open the doors this summer to the newly renovated and highly unique patio experience – the Stella Artois Terrace.

The Stella Artois Terrace, located at Woodbine Racetrack in Etobicoke, is a three-tiered patio and lounge that offers expansive city views, overlooking the world-class Thoroughbred horse racing track.

“We are so excited to offer this elevated patio experience to our guests, both current and new,” said Jim Lawson, CEO, Woodbine Entertainment. “It features everything a high-end patio should offer – great food and drinks, comfort, warm and friendly service, and an upbeat atmosphere – with live horse racing at the centre of it all.”

The Stella Artois Terrace, which is open during live racing from Thursday through Sunday starting this week until mid-October, features a premium menu, signature cocktails and a variety of seating options – lounge-style seating, high-top tables, as well as dining tables – all of which are covered by the grandstand’s large awning, providing guests with a comfortable environment.

The elevated menu includes a wide array of gourmet food offerings including east and west coast oysters, smoked back ribs, grilled calamari diablo, steak frites, charcuterie and cheese, fish tacos, warm banana chocolate cake, double chocolate Godiva cheesecake, and so much more.

“I would like to thank Labatt and Stella Artois Canada for their partnership, as it couldn’t have happened without their support,” Lawson added.

Labatt Breweries of Canada, a longstanding partner of Woodbine Entertainment for the past 17 years, played an integral role throughout the development and design of the new Terrace concept. Leveraging the strength of the Stella Artois brand in premium experiences, Labatt is proud to connect with horse racing fans, elevate the racing experience in partnership with Woodbine, and raise a chalice to the sport of horse racing and the tens of thousands of participants across the industry.

“Collaborating with Woodbine Racetrack to bring an elevated patio experience to horse racing fans is a milestone moment for our nearly 20-year partnership,” said Mike Bascom, Senior Marketing Director, Stella Artois Canada. “As a brand, Stella Artois believes that life’s moments should be savoured, so providing a unique space for guests to disconnect, enjoy good food and entertainment, and toast with a Stella, is something we’re proud to bring to life.”

The Stella Artois Terrace will fully open to the public on Friday, August 5 at Noon. Reservations are required.
