Woodbine Entertainment Group Proud to Support Community MicroSkills Development Centre – A “Woodbine Cares Week” Featured Charity

September 19, 2014 — Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) is proud to highlight their community partnership with Community MicroSkills Development Centre a featured charity for Woodbine Cares Week (#WEGCares). Woodbine Cares Week is a celebration of the many valuable community organizations and causes which contribute so much to the life, health and vibrancy of Toronto, and which WEG is proud to support as a strong community partner.

The programs in MicroSkills’ key service areas help its client community achieve economic self-sufficiency, participate actively in community life, and make a productive contribution to Canadian society. Its programs focus on developing clients’ skills, increasing their information base, and facilitating opportunities for them to transfer their skills and knowledge to the Canadian workforce.

“At MicroSkills, it is our hope that our clients will continue to trust us with their stories as we carve out creative approaches to help them realize their full potential for themselves and their families,” said Kay Blair, Executive Director, MicroSkills. “With the support of generous partners like WEG, we are able to help our clients achieve self-reliance and economic self-sufficiency.”

“We are extremely proud to have partnered with MicroSkills,” said Wendy Loiselle, Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, WEG. “Their commitment to helping others become more integrated into society and assisting them in learning skills to achieve self-determination and economic, social and political equality is truly inspirational.”
