Woodbine Entertainment Certified as Great Workplace for the Second Consecutive Year

November 20, 2018

TORONTO, October 25  – For the second consecutive year, Woodbine Entertainment (Woodbine) is proud to announce that the company has been certified as a Great Workplace after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Canada.

To become a certified Great Place to Work, companies enroll in a program that audits the organization’s workplace experience including direct feedback from employees through an anonymous survey.

Woodbine first became a certified Great Place to Work in 2017, followed by inclusion on the 2018 list of best workplaces in retail and hospitality.

Maintaining the certified Great Place to Work designation fulfils a key tactic of the company’s strategic plan and aids in staff retention and recruitment during a period of expanding opportunities.

“Having an enriched and engaged workplace experience is vital to expanding our reputation as a destination for world-class racing and entertainment,” said Jim Lawson, CEO Woodbine. “As we continue to create a secure future for horse racing in Ontario through, among other initiatives, property development, more and more incredible people will be needed to create great experiences for guests. For this reason, company culture is paramount among our business strategies.”
