MILTON, August 20, 2026 — Woodbine Mohawk Park will host a free Community Day on Saturday, September 5, ahead of an exciting night of racing featuring the Grade 1 Canadian Pacing Derby and Grade 1 Maple Leaf Trot. Sponsored by the Central Ontario Standardbred Association (COSA), Community Day will run from 4 to 6 p.m. and offer fun for the whole family. Guests can enjoy free hot dogs, freezies, and popcorn while supplies last. Kids can take part in a variety of activities, including sulky rides, face painting, and crafts. A magic show featuring Tyler Fergus will take place at 5:30 p.m. Racing fans can go behind the scenes with paddock tours, try their hand at driving through a virtual reality racing experience, and learn more about the Standardbred industry with Ontario Racing activations. “Community Day is a wonderful opportunity to welcome Milton families to the track,” said Heather Flaherty, General Manager, Woodbine Mohawk Park. “Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a longtime racing fan, we’re excited to bring the community together for an afternoon of fun, family activities and, of course, great racing on the Labour Day weekend.” Doors open for Community Day at 4 p.m., and fans are encouraged to stay for an exciting stakes-filled card of racing.
