MILTON, July 31, 2026 – Sharp victories by Detonater Hanover and Three Six Zero on Friday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park sets up an intriguing matchup for next week’s Grade 3 Millard Farms Stakes. A pair of $25,000 eliminations were contested Friday for the Millard Farms, an event for two-year-old trotters. The top-five finishers from each punched their ticket to the $155,000 final. Dr. Ian Moore trainee Detonater Hanover turned heads in the first elimination by posting a national season’s best clocking of 1:53.4 to win easily by 3 ½ lengths. A son of Muscle Mass, Detonater Hanover and driver Tyler Moore got away third before moving to the lead in the second-quarter. The duo moved around slight favourite Access Now, who posted a snappy :27.3 opening-quarter. Fractions of :56.3 and 1:25.2 were posted before Detonater Hanover finished the job with a :28.2 kicker to secure his maiden-breaking win. Access Now finished second, while Danz Card was third. Also advancing was Maximum Pressure and The Italian Job. Detonater Hanover was an $80,000 (USD) yearling purchase at Harrisburg and has now earned $59,030 for the ownership group of Detonater Hanover Stable of Cambridge, Ontario. The time of 1:53.4 is not only North America’s fastest mile this season by a two-year-old colt trotter, but also the fifth fastest overall by a rookie trotter this season. (New Image Media) Heavy favourite Three Six Zero got a perfect tune up trip in the second elimination, sitting third throughout before powering home for a 1:55.3 win. Trained by Kyle Fellows, Three Six Zero came into Friday’s race of a runner-up finish in an OSS Gold on July 24 and sporting a two wins from four starts record. Rail-starter Honcho marched forward to command in the early-stages and posted fractions of :29.1, :58.2 and 1:27.1. Mahalo sat on the leader’s back, while Three Six Zero was right in behind third until angling out nearing three-quarters. A gelded son of Muscle Mass, Three Six Zero trotted home in :28 for a 3 ¼ lengths victory. Mahalo got second over Honcho. First-time starter Summit Bid was fourth, while Bacio Blue Chip overcame a backstretch break to get up for fifth. Three Six Zero knocked more than two-seconds off his previous mark and now has $69,250 earned for owners Yolanda Fellows, Blair Corbeil, Windermere Stable LLC and Hopkins-Porter.
