Need for speed Fourth Gear found an extra gear in his second start for trainer Shannon Henry, coming out on top in the second leg of the Ontario-sired Spring Series trotting division, Saturday night at Mohawk. Entering the $18,000 dash off a third in the first leg of the series (April 11), the 3-year-old son of Archangel–Late Shift drifted out coming off the turn and sped ahead to reach the wire three-quarters-of-a-length clear. New Image Media photo Prescription for victory Dr Dave saved his best for last to steal the latter of two pacing divisions in the second leg of the Ontario-sired Spring Series on Saturday at Mohawk. With driver Tyler Jones in tow, the 3-year-old Cattlewash gelding came from the clouds to deliver a blistering push for home and secure victory by a nose. New Image Media photo The ‘Ghost’ with the most Ghostly Casper, with Mark MacDonald in the race bike, has been scary good of late. Trained and co-owned by Benoit Baillargeron, the 6-year-old son of Resolve-Cool Creek Breeze pulled off the 21-1 upset in the $40,000 Open Trot on Sunday, making it three straight scores for the bay who has recorded over $1 million in career purse earnings.
