A look at some of the top highlights from the past weekend of racing at Mohawk. Working overtime Miraculous Desbi N, with driver J.R. Plante in tow, came from the clouds to steal the fourth tilt on Woodbine Mohawk Park’s Saturday night card. Competing for trainer Jacques Dupont, the 6-year-old Bettors Delight gelding found another gear in the push for home, registering a :28.4 final quarter to slide past 24-1 foe Stonebridge Helios by a head. The eye-catching triumph was Miraculous Desbi N’s first of the season and second since coming to Canada last October. The veteran pacer is now 9-7-6 ($126,281) spanning 38 starts across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. At 5-1, he paid $13.50. Miraculous Desbi N. Sent off as the 3-5 choice in the night’s ninth fixture, the 4-year-old son of All Bets Off–Winbak Alice took command before the half and never looked back as his lead ballooned to a comfortable final margin. It was an encouraging opening start for Bruno No No No, who left his mark with six wins and over $100,000 in prizes across 23 starts last year. Trained by Dave Menary and piloted by Doug McNair, the bay, bred by Seelster Farms, paid $3.20. Bruno No No No. New Image Media photo. Adding a jolt The Colt (7-2), with Julie Walker handling the reins, stopped the clock in 1:56.2 to capture the 2026 edition of Mohawk’s annual International Women’s Day race. The third tilt on Sunday’s program saw Walker expertly navigate the 10-year-old son of Dudes The Man-Silkys Lady through the field of 10 to clinch his second victory of 2026 and 22nd overall from 145 starts (22-9-19; $118,420). The 1 ¼-length success, which paid $9.80, was the second International Women’s Day triumph for Walker, who secured the 2024 installment with Prince of Sussex.
