This will mark for the fourth consecutive year that Woodbine will offer a mandatory payout on the Jackpot Hi-5 just prior to Christmas. Last year’s pre-Christmas mandatory payout had two returns, as a dead-heat for fourth left two winning combinations, which returned $6,750.61 and $8,116.66 for a $0.20 ticket.
The draw for Saturday’s card of racing takes place on Wednesday. The Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout race will be the final race on the card, which has a first-race post time of 7:10 p.m.
