MILTON, April 15, 2019 – Driver Roger Mayotte was transported to Milton District Hospital following a pre-race collision on Monday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Ahead of the evening’s ninth-race, Mayotte and six-year-old trotter Monopoly were involved in a collision with eight-year-old trotter Odds On Amethyst and driver Pat Hudon. The collision caused Mayotte to be dislodged from the sulky and left Monopoly loose on the track. Monopoly was caught outside the paddock by horsepeople and escaped the incident without any injuries. Mayotte was alert when being attended to by paramedics and complaining of upper body pain. Mayotte was transported to Milton District Hospital for further examination. Hudon and Odds On Amethyst escaped the incident unharmed and did participate in the ninth-race, finishing third. Woodbine Entertainment would like to send its best wishes to Mayotte for a speedy recovery. Share This:Share
