#5 – Thursday, April 14; Race 3 – Look Cheap and Mark MacDonald took the early lead and never looked back. The Rob Boyd trainee survived an inquiry when she broke stride for a few steps at the seven-eighths mark. The three-year-old filly won by nine lengths.

#4 – Friday, April 15; Race 4 – In the first leg of the $50,000 guaranteed pool Early Pick 4, Icy Breeze, the longest shot on the board at 40-1, went wire-to-wire for trainer/driver Garret Whelan. He paid $84.10 to win.

#3 – Thursday, April 14; Race 6; Tie Silk final – J.R. Plante and the Fredrik Persson-trained Onirique upset in the $60,000 Tie Silk final at 45-1. He paid $92.10 to win. From the second tier in Post 11, Unforgettable Fire (Mike Saftic) had some late speed in the stretch and finished second at 60-1. The $2 exactor paid $937.80.

#2 – Monday, April 18; Race 6; Preferred Trot – Paul MacDonell guided millionaire Define The World, trained by John Bax, to his fifth consecutive victory in the $35,000 Preferred Trot.

#1 – Saturday, April 16; Race 9; Open Pace – St Elmo Hero (Jody Jamieson) battled hard to keep his 25-race win streak alive, with pressure from Upfront Hoosierboy (Mario Baillargeon) in the stretch, but it was Art Professor (Mark MacDonald) from the outside snapping St Elmo Hero’s win streak. With a lightning fast final quarter of :26.2, the Ben Wallace pupil won by a nose in a win photo in 1:51, the fastest mile of the week on the Woodbine oval.
