CAMPBELLVILLE, June 22 – This weekly feature offers a look back at the best Standardbred races and/or performances of the week at Mohawk.

#5 – Saturday, June 18; Race 5; Goodtimes Trot – Blue Porsche the $347,000 Goodtimes Trot for trainer Blair Burgess. The bay colt’s 1:54.2 effort notched driver Trevor Ritchie’s fifth Goodtimes victory. Click here to read more.

#4 – Saturday, June 18; Race 3; Elegantimage – Crys Dream has extended her win streak to 11, after romping in the $519,000 Elegantimage final.  The Henrik Hollsten trainee won in 1:53.2, a stakes record and career-best performance. The sophomore filly won with regular pilot Luc Ouellette by two-and-a-half lengths. Click here to read more.

#3 – Saturday, June 18; Race 9; Fan Hanover – The undefeated See You At Peelers captured the $601,000 Fan Hanover final for trainer Jimmy Takter in gate-to-wire fashion.  The bay miss is now 18-for-18 in her career. The daughter of Bettors Delight-West Side Glory got under the wire in 1:50, three-lengths ahead of her rivals. Click here to read more.

#2 – Saturday, June 18; Race 6; Mohawk Gold Cup – The David Miller-driven, Won The West equalled the Canadian record and broke the stakes record in the $100,000 Gold Cup Invitational.  The seven-year-old gelding stopped the teletimer in a scorching 1:47.2, which equals Primetime Bobcat’s all-time Canadian record. Also, after taking the lead past the half, the Ron Burke trainee hit the three-quarter marker in 1:19.3, the fastest three-quarters ever at Mohawk.

#1 – Saturday, June 18; Race 7; Pepsi North America Cup – The Carl Jamieson-trained and Jody Jamieson-driven, Up The Credit was victorious in the 28th edition of the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup. The Western Terror colt got the trip he hoped for, winning from off-the-pace in 1:49.3 over Roll With Joe (Randy Waples) with Big Jim (Phil Hudon) finishing third. The brown pacer now boasts a four race win streak with lifetime earnings of $923,440. Click here to read more.
