MILTON, March 7, 2019 – Woodbine Entertainment is proud to recognize the women of harness racing on International Women’s Day this Friday at Mohawk Park. The sport of harness racing is filled with amazing female talent, including prominent trainers, racetrack executives and the unsung heroes known as caretakers. Woodbine will celebrate the contribution of women to harness racing by naming Friday’s second-race after International Women’s Day. All female industry participants are invited to take part in the second-race winner’s circle presentation to celebrate International Women’s Day. Woodbine’s award-winning Broadcast Department is preparing a special video tribute to the women of harness racing that will air on Friday’s simulcast show and through Woodbine’s social media channels. Fans on track can celebrate International Women’s Day with a special price on all Lindeman’s Wines, while all female patrons will receive a free program for Friday’s card.
