TORONTO, November 3 – Driver Chris Christoforou joined the 6,000 win club Monday night at Woodbine Racetrack. Christoforou, 43, steered pacer World Away to victory in the evening’s seventh race for career driving victory 6,000. Christoforou entered Monday’s card one win shy of the 6,000 win mark. Although he was not listed in the program to drive World Away, Christoforou picked up the drive because of a late driver change. Christoforou is currently the leading driver on the Woodbine Entertainment Group circuit and recently captured the Mohawk meet driving title. In total this season, Christoforou has 209 victories and earnings of just under $5 million. A three-time O’Brien Award winner as Canada’s driver of the year, Christoforou is also approaching another milestone. Christoforou is less than $150,000 away from reaching $100 million in career earnings. The Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to congratulate Chris on his accomplishment and wish him continued success. Share This:Share
