CAMPBELLVILLE, June 30 – Due to a looming postal service disruption, the Woodbine Entertainment Group and Ontario Standardbred Alliance has issued the following plan for purse cheque distribution. In the event of a postal strike on Monday (July 4), WEG will courier all owners’ cheques to the track in which the money was earned. These cheques will be made available for pick up on race days/nights. Monthly driver and trainer cheques will also be sent to the track in which the money was earned and made available for pick up. This practice will continue for the length of the postal disruption. Once the issue is resolved, WEG will return to its regular process of distributing cheques via postal service. For the cheques that are not picked up during the postal disruption, they will be returned to Mohawk Racetrack and sent out via postal service to the appropriate parties. Share This:Share
