This weekly feature offers a look back at the best Standardbred races and/or performances of the week at Woodbine.

#5 – Friday May 6, 2011: Race 3: Trainer Bob Young and driver Roger Mayotte scored the first elimination of the Princess Stakes with Dreaming. The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover went gate-to-wire to capture the first elimination in a comfortable 1:54.1.

#4 – Friday May 6, 2011: Race 6: Bob Young once again found his way to the winner circle for the second elimination of the Princess Stakes with O K Dynasty; this time, son Scott was at the helm. O K Dynasty enjoyed a two-hole trip before being shown open racetrack deep in the stretch, scoring the victory in 1:54.

#3 – Saturday May 7, 2011: Race 3: Eighteen scored his second win this season in the first Diplomat elimination. The Pepsi North America Cup eligible was one of the first out of the gate however, did not hold the lead. Down the stretch, driver Sylvain Fillion pulled the pocket getting under the wire in 1:52.1.

#2 – Saturday May 7, 2011: Race 9: Fantaddy the Tony O’Sullivan trainee scored the fastest elimination of The Diplomat in 1:51.2 with Scott Zero at the reins. Fantaddy was taken off the gate, to the middle of the pack and was successful with his late rush, nosing out Up the Credit.

#1 – Saturday May 7, 2011: Race 7: The most impressive mile of the week was Mr. Saratoga’s win in the Preferred in a blistering 1:49.4 with Keith Oliver at the helm. The Anthony Montini pupil brought his lifetime earning total to $661,595.
