TORONTO, December 12, 2017 – James MacDonald returned to racing at Woodbine on Monday evening after spending a few weeks Down Under taking part in an International Drivers Challenge. The 2017 World Driving Champion was invited, along with American Marcus Miller, to drive at Gloucester Park in Perth, West Australia and experience the 2017 Inter Dominion, Australia’s biggest harness race. MacDonald, who currently ranks fifth in the Woodbine Driver’s Standings (139 wins), drove in four-races during his visit and scored a victory on the Inter Dominion under card. The World Driving Champ took some time on Monday evening to chat with Woodbine’s Mark McKelvie about his trip, the differences between North American and Australian racing, the Inter Dominion and more.
