ICYMI: Winning Streaks & First-Time Stakes Winners Headline Busy Weekend

October 26, 2026

Double Down

Make that back-to-back graded stakes victories for Paradise Farms Corp and Case Chambers’ Willy D’s, who got up late to take Saturday’s $350,000 Fayette (G2) at Keeneland.

The hard-earned triumph by a neck, which followed a gate-to-wire Charles Town Classic (G2) score on Aug. 28, marked the fourth win from six starts this season for the Michael Maker charge.

The 5-year-old son of Lookin At Lucky, out of the Mineshaft mare Boston Mine, improved to 9-7-2 ($1,734,021) from 30 starts overall.

Sent off at 8-1, Willy D’s paid $18.02.

Dial it to Three

Dahman’s Bottas picked up his third straight victory with a dominant finish in Saturday’s $400,000 Bryan Station (G2T).

Entering the one-mile turf test off scores in the Gun Runner Stakes and National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2T), Bottas powered his way to a 2 ¼-length decision.

Now standing at 5-0-1 from eight starts lifetime, the 3-year-old son of Vekoma–Iadorakid (by Lemon Drop Kid) has earned nearly $1.7 million.

The dark bay, trained by Miguel Clement, paid $7.50 at 5-2.

Iron Tough

Nearly one year to the day after finishing sixth in the Empire Classic Stakes, Iron Dome returned to capture the $250,000 main-track contest on Saturday afternoon at Belmont Park.

The 4-year-old Into Mischief colt turned the tides with a hearty effort that saw him reach the wire a head clear at 6-1.

It was the first win from five starts this season for Iron Dome, who ran runner-up three times before that.

Trained by Steve Asmussen for owners L and N Racing and Chester Broman, Sr., Iron Dome sports a 4-4-2 line through 14 career starts ($535,511).

He paid $14.06.

On the Right Path

Jas, the runner-up in last month’s Kentucky Downs Juvenile Mile Stakes, notched his first stakes win in Sunday’s $200,000 Street Sense (G3) at Churchill Downs.

It was a gritty showing from the 2-year-old son of Justify–Flag Day, who dug in to outduel 5-2 foe Staunch by a neck.

Jas also collected 10 Kentucky Derby (G1) qualifying points in the victory for trainer Steve Asmussen and owner Red Lane Thoroughbreds.

Leaving the gate at 9-1, Jas paid $20.12.

Docked and Delivered

Godolphin’s homebred filly Wharfie went from last to first to pick up 10 Kentucky Oaks (G1) qualifying points in Sunday’s $200,000 Rags to Riches Stakes at Churchill Downs.

Coming into the 1 1/16-mile dirt dash after a maiden-breaking outing on Sept. 19 at Belmont Park, the Bill Mott trainee carried the momentum over in a furious finish down the stretch.

The tally by three-quarters of a length was the first career stakes score for the 2-year-old daughter of Essential Quality, out of the Medaglia d’Oro mare Waterside.

Closing as the 8-5 choice, Wharfie paid $5.40.
