After a winless three-start rookie campaign, the 4-year-old Angus Buntain-trained chestnut showed tremendous grit under rider Jeffrey Alderson to reach the wire 1 ¾ lengths clear. The confident showing with Juan Crawford in the irons saw the lightly-raced 5-year-old mare cover six furlongs over the all-weather surface in 1:12.77. Michael Burns Photography All the bread Back at the stakes tier following a sixth on May 16, Duckduckduck flew above the rest in Sunday’s $100,000 Lake Huron Stakes at Woodbine. Teamed with rider Pietro Moran, the 3-year-old son of Silent Name (JPN)–Peggy O firmly outperformed his 9-1 billing, cruising to a 1 ¾-length decision. Trained by Evette Chartrand-Hoek for owner Sue Leslie, the 2025 Clarendon Stakes champion improved to 3-1-0 ($148,460) from six starts lifetime.
