November 2, 2026

A look at some of the top highlights from the past weekend of racing at Woodbine.

In full bloom

Rock Hard Rose showed off her grit with a powerful 1 ¾-length triumph in Saturday’s 10th race.

The impressive display under rider Emma-Jayne Wilson marked the Kantharos filly’s fourth victory and ninth top three finish from 11 starts this season.

Trained by Steven Chircop, who co-owns the 4-year-old bay with Jill Frost, Rock Hard Rose has banked nearly $167,000 from 24 appearances (6-5-5).

Sent off at 9-2, she paid $11.20.

Answering the call

Party Hotline was the belle of the ball in Saturday’s final fixture, delivering a cool 1 ¾-length score for owner Coldfront Racing.

The sophomore daughter of Copper Bullet, out of the Exchange Rate mare Counterparty, made her second career visit to the winner’s circle from nine starts, eight of which have come this season.

Bred in Louisiana by William Vaughn, Party Hotline is trained by Todd Kettleson.

At 4-1, she paid $10.50.

Breakthrough

Sharon Ceccato’s Aterya, who finished third in September’s Lake Erie Stakes, notched his first career win on Sunday at Woodbine.

The 3-year-old sired by Frac Daddy crossed the wire a confident 2 ¼ lengths clear with Juan Crawford in the irons for the maiden-breaking tally.

Ceccato also trains the dark bay, who was bred in Ontario by Gayle Bosscher and Denyse McClachrie.

Billed at 8-1, Aterya paid $18.80.
