Going one better

Pierre, a son of Tapiture, put together two strong runner-up performances on the inner turf last year. The Kevin Attard trainee won on the main track on May 2 at the Toronto oval and now looks for his first ‘W’ on the inner in Race 10 on Saturday.

Hat trick time?

Don Ique, trained by Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame inductee Josie Carroll, goes for his third straight score in Sunday’s 10th race, at 1 1/8 miles on the main track. Last time out, on May 24, the roan edged away for a one-length score at 1 1/16 miles on the main.
