Clocker Report: Horses to watch this weekend

August 16, 2019

TORONTO, August 16, 2019 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key in on for upcoming races at Woodbine.

[Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.]

Saturday, Race 4 – It’s Vengeance

It’s Vengeance worked for Roger Attfield in :46.80 breezing on the turf on August 11 with stakes placed Lady Azalea. It’s Vengeance has been working bullets. She will be a price, it’s just a question if she can translate her morning work to the afternoons.

Sunday, Race 6 – Combative

Combative worked for Mark Casse on August 7 in 1:01.20b, out-working stakes winner Muskoka Wonder (1:01.40b). He has taken a while to get back, but his fitness and works have been improving.

Other horses to watch that have been working well include:

Saturday, Race 6 – Dancing Doll

Saturday, Race 9 – Blurricane
