[Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.]
Friday, Race 2 – Split the Sea
Ernie said: "On July 15, Split the Sea, with Eurico Rosa da Silva up, went in :50bg. This work was all about the long flowing stride. Track slow rated 2.5. Previous work in company on the training track outworked them by 2 lengths."
Friday, Race 7 – Monastrell
Ernie said: "On July 8, Monastrell, with Emma-Jayne Wilson up, went in 58b. Just after the break, track pretty even rated 3. Fastest work of the day by many."
Saturday, Race 4 – Quidi Vidi
Ernie said: "On July 14, Quidi Vidi worked in 1:00.20b. Very quick move after the break on a slow track rated 2. With a nice long gallop out. Big price in a contentious race."
Saturday, Race 8 – Minks Aprise
Ernie said: "On July 16, Minks Aprise went in :47b. Just before the break track slow rated 2.5. Last two works in :47 identical moves. I would key this horse. Top of her game right now."
