TORONTO, July 20, 2018 – Each week, Woodbine’s head clocker Ernie Perri comments on some of the top workouts watched, highlighting horses to key on in upcoming races at Woodbine. [Track ratings based on a scale of 1-5 with ‘1’ being the slowest.] Sunday, Race 4 – Amberwood Perri said: “Amberwood worked on July 14 in :58.60 for Sadler. He caught the eye of clocker Greg Peacock. It was the best work of the day by about seven lengths. It will be his third race off the layoff.” Sunday, Race 9 – Nevaeh’s Valentine Perri said: “Nevaeh’s Valentine worked for Ross Armata Jr. on July 15 in :59 flat (:24, :35.2, home in :23.80, out in 1:11.40). He looks like he is back to his usual self in the morning; the only issue here may be the distance. He worked after the break, with the track even rated 3.” Some other horses to keep an eye out for include: Hush Buffy and May Win (Friday, Race 5), Wheres the Widget (Friday, Race 7) and Artilena (Saturday, Race 5).
