A look at some of the top highlights from the past weekend of racing at Woodbine. Taylor-made: Swift Delivery delivers in Seagram Cup A patient approach paid dividends for Swift Delivery and veteran rider Patrick Husbands in the $150,000 Seagram Cup (G3) on Saturday at Woodbine. Waiting for a sliver of daylight, Husbands and the Not This Time gelding named after platinum recording artist Taylor Swift and co-owned by NFL star Travis Kelce, took advantage coming for home for the confident two-length tally. Bred by Hunt-Steeple Hill, Swift Delivery, at 9-2, paid $11.90 in his graded stakes breakthrough. Swift Delivery and Patrick Husbands. Michael Burns Photography. From Paris, with Class Oujda (FR), and her impressive stature, found the winner’s circle in the $125,000 Sweet Briar Too Stakes – the Sioux Nation mare’s first start outside of Europe. Under the steady hand of Sovereign Award-winning jockey Rafael Hernandez, Oujda announced herself on Canadian soil, and the E. P. Taylor turf, with a hard-charging rally to steer clear of her closest contemporary by 1 ¼ lengths. The 5-year-old chestnut out of the Elusive Quality mare La Conseillante paid $9.80 for Saturday’s win. Oujda (FR) and Rafael Hernandez (black and green silks). Michael Burns Photography. House to a Home Stanley House, the runner-up in last year’s edition of the Niagara Stakes, got his revenge with a brilliant effort in the latest renewal of the $100,000 contest on Saturday afternoon at Woodbine. After missing out by 1 ¾ lengths in 2024, the multiple graded stakes placed son of Army Mule–Stormy’s Song got over the hump by leading gate-to-wire for the four-length triumph. The seasoned Mike De Paulo trainee’s first stakes score pushed his lifetime record to 4-7-3 across 22 starts, paying $5.90. Stanley House and Leo Salles. Michael Burns Photography.
