Vacation time Waitingforaholiday enjoyed some much-deserved R&R in the winner’s circle after taking the second dash on Woodbine’s 11-race Saturday card. The patient yet powerful 2 ½-length victory was the maiden-breaker for the Colebrook Farms homebred, who completed 6 ½-furlongs over the all-weather course in 1:18.59. Piloted by Austin Adams for trainer Patrick Dixon, Waitingforaholiday is now one-for-two to begin his sophomore campaign. The 3-year-old Ami’s Holiday–Luna Blu filly was a constant podium presence during a strong debut season, collecting a pair of thirds and one second. Still in search of her first win, Regal Affair delivered in start number four, reaching the wire three-quarters-of-a-length clear. Moran kicked off his winning binge with Ez Tina in the third and capped it off with La Belleza Negra in the 10th. Completing the quintet was King Rosso, Ice Chocolat (BRZ), and Yukon Striker.
