Michael Burns Photography Firing on all cylinders Corsia Veloce, Canada’s 2025 champion 2-year-old female, posted a pair of 5-furlong main track bullet works (1/8, 1:00.40 on May 25 and 1/48, 1:00.00 on May 31) ahead of her first start since last September when she won the Natalma Stakes (G1T). The Josie Carroll trainee takes on five rivals in Saturday’s $125,000 Fury Stakes. “She looks wonderful,” said co-breeder and co-owner Glenn Sikura. “She’s training well. We’ll see what happens. The top five finishers in each race advance to the rich final. Superstar Beau Jangles will face a tough challenge in the second elimination (Race 9) by taking on world champion Odds On Mr Mamba and last week’s Somebeachsomewhere Stakes winner Brandon Blvd. Race 2, 4 & 6 – Fan Hanover Stakes – Eliminations – 7:13pm, 8pm, 8:48pm $35,000 3-Year-Old Fillies – Pace The Fan Hanover is the filly counterpart to the NA Cup. This year’s race has attracted 21 entrants, split into three elimination races. The top three finishers in each race advance to the $420,000 final on Cup night. The three fourth-place finishers will go into a draw to determine who gets the tenth spot in the rich final.
